Anna is a young unconventional journalist living in Thessaloniki. Dresden-born Lophilia, is a painter whose heretical lifestyle and art impresses and challenges. The chance meeting of the two women will soon develop into a deep love affair with the prospect of starting a family.
The two women’s rapprochement will be interrupted by Lophilia’s sudden death. Anna, overwhelmed by the loss of her friend and knowing how important it was for Lophilia that her body be cremated, will seek out her father in Dresden to obtain his necessary consent. The shocking experience of her brief acquaintance with Lophilia will determine Anna’s later life.
